Holger Weishaupt, born in 1961, discovered his passion for American Football back in 1979. On January 30, 1979, he watched the legendary broadcast of Super Bowl XIII between the Dallas Cowboys and the Pittsburgh Steelers on ARD – a moment that changed him forever.
This fascination with sports quickly developed into a lifelong passion.

In the mid-1980s, Holger played for the Fellbach Sioux. Since then, he has taken on numerous roles in the football community, including stadium announcer, press spokesman, federation and club official, and dedicated player's father. One of his career highlights as a stadium announcer was the 1994 American Bowl in Berlin, where the New York Giants played against the San Diego Chargers. This experience, working side-by-side with Oliver Luck, the general manager of the Frankfurt Galaxy, had a lasting impact on him.
Holger has hosted numerous prestigious events, including three Eurobowls, American Football World and European Championship games in Germany, several German and Junior Bowls, and an Austrian Bowl.

As a member of a "football-crazy" family with three sons who are all active or have been active in the sport, American football is an indispensable part of his life.
Dennis, the eldest, has since switched from football to softball. Sonny, as a quarterback for the German national team, won silver at the World Games, became German champion with the New Yorker Lions Braunschweig, and vice-champion and vice-Eurobowl champion with Frankfurt Universe.
Jerry Weishaupt was part of the Hesse selection team, has won numerous Hessian youth championships, and currently plays in the GFL2 for the Wiesbaden Phantoms.

With his extensive knowledge and passion, Holger published the book "Alles über American Football" (Everything about American Football) in 2018. Further projects followed in 2024 with Carlsen / Lappan Verlag, including the "NFL Quiz Calendar 2025," the NFL Advent Calendar Book, and "NFL: Alles was du über American Football wissen musst" (NFL: Everything You Need to Know About American Football).

American football will celebrate its 50th anniversary in Germany in 2027, and Holger Weishaupt has been there almost from the beginning. With Game Day Vibes, he is fulfilling his lifelong dream of owning his own American football shop. This brings his journey full circle, as his professional career began many years ago at Neckermann Versand in Frankfurt, and his fascination with mail-order retail has never left him. He is particularly passionate about the "Historic Teams" section of the shop, which features the team logos of former German and American teams.
